How do you say "I Love You"?
We’ve all heard that a picture is worth a thousand words, and I’ve taken thousands of photographs or the years. I am always in awe and speechless when it comes to the love I’ve seen. I've photographed newborns, newlyweds, even those with heartache and loss. It always comes back to that simple word that means so much.
Happy Valentine’s,
xo Jen

And the lucky mother is...
Leslie Cook Nelson!!!
Congratulations Leslie, contact me or Tami by Tuesday May 11th so we can set up your portrait session!
Thank you everyone for playing. This is my first giveaway (but not last, so check back again) and I was very happy to have 36 entries! You all poured your heart out and made wonderful comments about your mothers. Thanks for sharing, they were great to read.
Since I didn't post yet why my mom is the best... My mom has always been there for me, been one of my best cheerleaders and been a best friend. We've cruised the mall together blairing the Pointer Sisters from her Buick (yes, it was terribly embarassing and crazy fun at the same time) and share a love for cookie dough and cats. Apples don't fall far from the tree. Even when I was a teenager testing her strength, she was right there. And because a picture is worth a thousand words, here is one of my favorites of mom that's always been on her dresser. That's not of me, but of my mom and my brother. Isn't she beautiful!? Happy Mother's Day mom, I love you!!!

Immogen Cunningham - Seattle Art Museum
Immogen Cunningham's work is currently on view at the Seattle Art Museum. She is probably most well known for her beautiful image of a magnolia blossom, but her work took her many places including photographing for the Farm Security Administration during the Great Depression and for Vanity Fair. Her work has always been an inspiration to me and I'm looking forward to a field trip to see it!
