My mom is the greatest. She was very involved with all our childhood endeavors be it PTA, Girl Scout Troop leader, or school dance chaperone. She once went on the school camping trip because they were short on chaperones...my mother doesn't camp! She got wet and dirty and muddy and didn't complain once! Now, she is one of my best friends.

I have always admired my mother for her kindness, wisdom and humor, but it took having a child of my own to truly realize how amazing she really is. Now I understand the sacrifices she has made for me and the true meaning of unconditional love. Thanks Mom, I love you!

My Mom, she was a pilar of strength when I was growing up. Looking back now as an adult it just amazes me how she did it all. She's more than a mom to me, she's my friend, advisor, and hero. I love you Mom!

Mom had us drawing with crayons as soon as we could hold them. I still have a notebook of my drawings from a driving trip to California where I she did her best to keep me entertained for the long drive. When the schools didn't have art classes or programs due to funding cuts, she came in and taught us about the classic painters or how to be fashionable with puff paints and stencils on T-shirts. She taught me continental knitting and crochet. She tried to teach me to sew, but let me do other things when I didn't have the patience. To this day, my life is filled with endless supplies of books, classes, supplies, and art dates. On top of all the Art, she's been my mentor, confidant, and one of my best friends. As the years have gone by, we've learned together how to trade roles, lean on and mentor each other as well as bounce creative ideas around until we stumble upon something magical. She's a strong, creative, intelligent, and amazing spirit who makes the world a brilliant and beautiful place!

What an awesome contest!!

My dogs are quite pampered pooches...lots of bones/toys/treats as well as a mom who gives them kisses daily!!

Of course, I wouldn't be here to be a doggie mom if my own mother hand't put up with my animalistic obessions!

My mom ALWAYS had us helpping in the kitchen, even though I think we were way messy and it made cooking/baking take way long. She always encouraged us to try new recipes and adventures. She is a number one cheerleader for ALL of us (and a pretty good defense lawyer for her grandkids too). She is a kid at heart and pure JOY!

My mom is the bomb because she just bought a new bigger house specifically so we (my very pregnant self, husband and our daughter) could move back to the area and have space to spread out and not feel like we were living with my parents. Her love is unconditional (even with her opinions sprinkled in) and no matter my decision she stands behind it. Now as a mom myself, and with a second one on the way, I can appreciate how hard raising kids is. No matter what the love is always there. She sets a great example of what an awesome mom should be. Thanks for everything, Mom! I love you.

My mother is the best because through all the years there's nothing she's done better than to be a mom. Whether it was to be a part of my school's PTA, to help me raise money for an exchange program to New Zealand, or to always encourage me to realize my goals and ambitions growing up, she's been there every step of the way supporting me. At times when I felt the lowest, I knew my mother would be there with a hug and a smile to brighten up my day. I knew that she would always be there for me, as a best friend to talk to, as a shoulder to cry on, or as a friend to go shopping with. No matter what, I always knew my mom loved me more than anything and that she would always be there. Whether it was being there for my first tattoo (and actually paying for it), watching me graduate from high school and college, going to all of my choir concerts, helping me pick out the perfect dress for school dances, making me birthday cake every year, or watching me walk down the aisle, my mother has truly been the rock that I stand on. After everything that we've been through, marriages, divorce, sharing an apartment, my mother is the strongest person I know. Everything that she has done has been to make sure that my brother and I are happy and healthy. There's nothing my mother wouldn't do for us. My mother deserves the world...because to me, she is the world! I owe everything to my mother for making me the person I am today...and that is something to be very proud of.
