Charles & Molly - Bellevue, Wa

It was fun to finally see Molly & Charles surrounded by their family and friends. I did their engagement photos last fall and saw a glimpse of what was to come. They were fun and complement each other like Yin & Yang, but with a Caddyshack twist.

The traditional jewish ceremony was at the
Harzl-Ner Tamid Synagogue , followed by an evening of live music by the Michael Benson Band, dance (the Hora of course!) and genuine fun at the Glendale Country Club. Charles even surprised "interviewed" his bride and gave guests an open mic to ask questions or comment, of which the most embarassing question "Are you nervous?" (about the wedding night, eh hem) was indeed asked. I hope Charles planned a really good honeymoon!

Todd & Sharon - Bremerton, Wa

I was so glad to be a part of Sharon & Todd's wedding and get to photograph Sharon. She has the most amazing Audrey Hepburn eyes and great style to boot. Gold Mountain Golf Club was the location. The girls got up super early to beautifully decorate the room with sprinkles of pink, brown and green. The brides gown was topped off with a tiny bow in the front, and a bustle to rival Cinderella’s dress. Todd's groomsmen and he went way back to childhood friendships and you could feel the bond they had. Lots of fun and laugher surrounded these two on their big day. Will & Sarah - Hansville, Wa

After about 30 email exchanges I finally got to meet Sarah & Wil. Cool thing was, they felt like old friends. They were that relaxed, I loved it! They were married in the little town of Hansville's Community Church. It's one of those towns with fun street names like "Bear Berry", "Twin Spits", "Skunk Bay" and "Point No Point". Down the street from Port Gamble, and if you don't know where that is, the Hood Canal Bridge is the next closest landmark. There's a little lighthouse that's been there since 1880, a little grocery store and beautiful Puget Sound views. This Seattle Times article tells a small history of the point, but enough about that.

The big surpise was the horse drawn carriage that carried the couple along with their bridal party off to the reception. It was a great time to hear Wil & Sarah's engagement story and the marital significance of their wedding date, June 12th. Thanks to the internet, I can tell you Loving v. Virginia was a landmark civil rights case which ended all race-based legal restrictions on marriage in the US on June 12th, 1967. More of their photos will be ready soon at http://www.pictage.com/673165

Lastly, Sarah's brother Nate & sister in-law Kirsten, whose wedding I also photographed, are about to celebrate their 5 year anniversary. Congratulations everyone!
