Todd & Sharon - Bremerton, Wa

I was so glad to be a part of Sharon & Todd's wedding and get to photograph Sharon. She has the most amazing Audrey Hepburn eyes and great style to boot. Gold Mountain Golf Club was the location. The girls got up super early to beautifully decorate the room with sprinkles of pink, brown and green. The brides gown was topped off with a tiny bow in the front, and a bustle to rival Cinderella’s dress. Todd's groomsmen and he went way back to childhood friendships and you could feel the bond they had. Lots of fun and laugher surrounded these two on their big day. Little Liam, only two weeks old and cute as can be.

Will & Sarah - Hansville, Wa

After about 30 email exchanges I finally got to meet Sarah & Wil. Cool thing was, they felt like old friends. They were that relaxed, I loved it! They were married in the little town of Hansville's Community Church. It's one of those towns with fun street names like "Bear Berry", "Twin Spits", "Skunk Bay" and "Point No Point". Down the street from Port Gamble, and if you don't know where that is, the Hood Canal Bridge is the next closest landmark. There's a little lighthouse that's been there since 1880, a little grocery store and beautiful Puget Sound views. This Seattle Times article tells a small history of the point, but enough about that.

The big surpise was the horse drawn carriage that carried the couple along with their bridal party off to the reception. It was a great time to hear Wil & Sarah's engagement story and the marital significance of their wedding date, June 12th. Thanks to the internet, I can tell you Loving v. Virginia was a landmark civil rights case which ended all race-based legal restrictions on marriage in the US on June 12th, 1967. Lastly, Sarah's brother Nate & sister in-law Kirsten, whose wedding I also photographed, are about to celebrate their 5 year anniversary. Congratulations everyone!
